Swiss sustainable building specialist Holcim has acquired Sivyer Logistics, a leading recycler of construction and demolition waste (CDW) in the London region.
Sivyer currently handles one million tonnes of materials annually and recovers more than 500 000 tonnes of recycled aggregates and manufactured soils. Hocim says its purchase represents another step towards making cities more sustainable.
Miljan Gutovic, region head in Europe says, ‘Sivyer Logistics is an excellent addition to help us drive circular construction and reach our group target of recycling 10 million tonnes of CDW by 2025. I look forward to welcoming all employees of Sivyer Logistics and investing in our next era of growth together.’
The company adds that acquisition will advance the sustainability targets of Holcim’s ‘Strategy 2025 – Accelerating Green Growth’, especially its target to recycle 10 million tonnes in its products by 2025.
Sivyer was founded in 1862 and has six facilities across London providing waste management, vehicle logistics, manufactured soils, primary and recycled aggregates and ready-mix concrete.
