Non-ferrous separator for combustion slag

This makes it possible to recycle slag for road construction purposes instead of dumping it as chemical waste.
The machine is designed for the separation or recovery of non-ferrous metals and is primarily aimed at the 4-10 mm fraction, whereas conventional separators mostly cover the 10-40 mm range. Goudsmit claims to have succeeded in removing another 0.5% by volume from this smaller fraction, resulting in a proportional reduction in waste. Potential application areas include: vehicle scrap, cable waste, glass, domestic waste, plastics, and construction and demolition rubble.
The Goudsmit non-ferrous separator is equipped with a conveyor belt measuring between 0.4 and 1.5 metres wide, which can be adjusted to operate at 0.2 to 2.5 metres per second. A rapidly-rotating Neoflux magnet roller is fitted at the end of the belt to generate eddy currents. Roller revolutions can be accelerated from 0 to 3600 per minute.
