The size of the pre-shredded materials is suitable for a next step of sorting and/or the separation of contaminants and finally for secondary-shredding (granulating) of the materials. In contrast to conventional shredding systems, the Jupiter is fitted with cutting instruments and produces a defined granulate for ease of further processing. The rotor is fitted with heavy duty, four-sided blades; this knife construction offers high resistance to foreign bodies, can be used for a wide range of materials, and delivers higher throughputs.
The innovative slow-running single-shaft coarse shredder is highly suited to primary size reduction of material which has been neither sorted nor pre-shredded, such as domestic and bulky waste, trade and industry refuse, mixed building construction waste, waste wood, etc.
