Industry ‘veterans’ acquire Midland Recycling

United States – US player Palmer Refuse Inc. has sold the Nebraska-based Midland Recycling facility to a group of ‘recycling veterans’ who previously owned it. The company will continue under the name Greenwaste LLC as a first step towards setting up a ‘multi-location firm’.

The three new owners are Mick Barry as president and co-owner, Kelley McReynolds as vice president and general manager and co-owner Brian Meng. ′Midland Recycling is a fine, well-operated company that will add significant value to our customers and shareholders,′ notes Barry.

The aim is to return the company to the ′forefront′ of Nebraska′s recycling industry. Among its core missions are negotiating higher sale prices for the commodities produced and improving operational efficiencies at the plant.

Palmer Refuse Inc.′s president Mike Palmer comments: ′The new ownership team is among the most respected in the recycling industry. We are thrilled to sell Midland Recycling to such a competent, experienced team.′
