Polish shredder major seeks new frontiers

Recycling equipment provider Shred-Tech of Canada has become exclusive distributor North America for Polish Pronar, which manufactures single and double shaft slow-speed primary shredders.

Pronar has seen rapid growth in the past 30 years ‘from a difficult economic downturn in the 80s to a leader in recycling, agricultural and municipal machinery manufacturing on a global scale,’ says Shred-Tech.

With more than 2 200 employees and seven factories and facilities, Pronar sells more than 5 500 machines annually making it among the ‘top selling brands in Poland with over 50% market share’.

Pronar has invested in further development of its recycling product lines ‘to expand their product portfolio with new models offering innovative solutions to existing designs.’

Shred-Tech designs and produces mobile and stationary shredding and recycling systems. To date, the company has installed more than 6 000 units worldwide. Headquartered in Cambridge, Ontario it has operations in the US and Thailand and distributors in the UK, Australia and Japan.
