Interseroh adds German scrap recycler to portfolio

Germany – The scrap metal division of Alba Group has taken over Elvira Westarp from Aschaffenburg, Germany.

Through this expansion, recycler and trader Interseroh adds a collector, transporter and recycler of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The new division will expand Interseroh’s presence in the Rhine-Mainz region in Germany.
‘Elvira Westarp boasts a 50-year history and experience in trading ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, and has a specific knowledge on logistics,’ says Joachim Wagner, Director of Interseroh’s metal recycling segment. ‘Additionally, the highly modern yard has an attractive location in the Aschaffenburg port.’
As of September 1, Interseroh will take over all 11 employees of Elvira Westarp, including Bernhard Westarp, who will continue for the company role as Operational Director. ‘My decision to continue to operate in the management of Westarp, was an easy decision,’ he explains. ‘After all, the entrepreneurial philosophy of Interseroh fits well to mine: Here you can continue to act as entrepreneurs and at the same time enjoy the benefits of an internationally leading recycling company.’
