Sunnking takes home EPA quality award

United States – Sunnking Electronics Recycling of New York has received an Environmental Quality Award from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The certified recycler was praised for its responsible work in dismantling, refurbishing and recycling e-scrap. According to New York Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, Sunnking has helped significantly in ‘€˜creating green jobs in an industry that is set to transform our economy’€™. She adds: ‘€˜I was proud to nominate them for this award, and I am thrilled that their hard work and innovative solutions have earned them the recognition that this award brings.’€™

According to Duane Beckett, ceo of Sunnking, the award not only validates the tremendous work of people at Sunnking but also serves as a reminder to the world that environmental consciousness and the running of a successful business are not mutually exclusive.

The company was established in the year 2000 and has set up some 150 recycling collection sites since then, helping to recycle 14 million lb of electronics in 2012 alone.
