Tackling the big issues: IdentiPlast 2017

Austria – The 13th edition of the international conference on plastics waste recycling & recovery ‘€“ IdentiPlast ‘€“ will take place at the Museums Quarter in Vienna, Austria, on 22-23 February 2017.

‘The circular economy poses big challenges to some European Member States in the process of modernising their waste management infrastructure,’ so says PlasticsEurope. That’s why the organisation is joining forces with Austria’s Environment Protection Agency to organise the much anticipated two-day conference with this as its central theme.

For 20 years, IdentiPlast has been the international landmark networking event to learn about the latest engineering technologies for plastics waste management and best practices; providing detailed market updates and talks on sorting, collection, recycling machinery and unique industry projects.

Once again, the event has a truly global scope, including topics such as plastics recycling in America, Canada, Turkey, Japan, Croatia and Italy.

Other notable issues to be addressed are: automated waste sorting; feedstock recycling; energy recovery from solid recovered fuel; extended producer responsibility progress; and, of course, how the plastics industry is performing according to the EU’s Circular Economy Package.
