Schred Max, the leading North American manufacturer of compact multi-material primary reduction equipment, has introduced a highly mobile, trailer-mounted version of the Schred Max 50 SD.
The heavy-duty single axle trailer with air brakes available with fifth wheel kingpin or pintle ring hook-up is built into the Schred Max mainframe structure and enables rapid set-up times when arriving on site. On-site application areas can include tyre dump clean-up, mattress processing operations, C & D transfer stations, demolition jobs, refuse clean-ups and recycling centers.
The Mobile Max trailer running gear package features severe duty components of robust construction. The rugged sprung single axle design has four full-size 11 inch by 22.5 inch tyres to give excellent floatation qualities and minimum ground rutting and scrubbing, combined with a tight turning radius.
Powered by a Caterpillar 60 or 120 HP diesel engine, the Mobile Max has 64 inch high by 126 inch wide discharge clearance under the machine, allowing 20 and 30 yard roll-off containers to slide easily underneath. Other discharge options include self-dumping hoppers, portable stacking conveyors or removal of material directly discharged on the ground with large track or wheeled loaders. Electric motor driven versions of Schred Max are also available.
The Schred Max concept employs a single 9 inch solid auto-reversing shaft and five double-tipped 4 inch staggered, super-aggressive, replaceable bi-directional cutters, which pierce, split, break, tear, shear, flatten, shred and crush in both directions. The combination of strength and torque allows the machine to process virtually any bulk feedstock material, it is claimed.
The hopper opening measures 5 feet by 6 feet while hopper volume is 4 cubic yards. The Schred Max can process: tyres, C & D, white goods, railroad ties, municipal solid waste, shingles, furniture, mattresses, asphalt slabs, concrete slabs including rebar, concrete blocks, industrial and commercial waste, stumps, land clearing debris, glass, automotive components, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, slag and landfill reclamation materials.
