Reiling boosts competitiveness in glass sector

Germany – German recycler Reiling Unternehmensgruppe has launched a new glass recycling facility in Osterweddingen under the name Glas Recycling GmbH & Co. ‘With the new plant, Reiling Group now boasts nine glass recycling sites in Europe, thus boosting our level of competitiveness,’ the recycler says.

The first section of the plant, primarily targeting hollow glass, has been operating since the beginning of July and boasts an hourly capacity of around 25 tonnes. ′The second section of the plant is expected to start in late October of this year, meant to treat mainly flat glass and solar modules,′ Reiling states.

Planning and construction of the facility were initiated in 2012. The recycler says the expansion will not only bolster its glass recycling business but also improve product quality and reduce transportation costs.
