Rallying cry from bvse’s new President

Germany – Bernhard Reiling, the new President of the German Federal Association of Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management (bvse), has assured the organisation’€™s latest meeting in Dresden that, like his predecessor, he will continue to ‘€˜adopt a combative attitude towards any parties or communities attempting to penalise medium recycling players’€™.

Mr Reiling stated: ‘€˜It is the private companies that help advance our economy. And so, our common goal must be to represent them in the political, industrial as well as commercial arena.’€™ In his speech, Mr Reiling also pointed out that Germany can only stay strong and maintain its prosperity if it ‘€˜consistently uses the secondary materials available on the domestic market’€™.

The new bvse President is a 52-year-old entrepreneur and specialist in glass recycling, took over the presidency of bvse from Burkhard Landers who has become Honorary President of the organisation.
