* Steven F. Hirsch
The U.S. Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has appointed Steven F. Hirsch as Director of State and Local Programs/Associate Counsel. Hirsch comes to ISRI with more than 20 years’ experience in the public and private sectors, including work on a broad range of environmental issues at Washington law firms, as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. His background includes environmental litigation, counselling and lobbying.

* Stephen Wilkinson
The Belgium-based International Zinc Association (IZA) has appointed Stephen Wilkinson as Executive Director. Mr Wilkinson will co-ordinate key co-operative activities within the zinc industry and will lead initiatives to improve overall effectiveness of the industry’€™s joint efforts by integrating zinc activities of other groups such as the International Lead and Zinc Research Organization. Mr Wilkinson was formerly President and CEO of Eramet North America and Marketing & Sales Manager of Cominco Ltd (now Teck Cominco Ltd) of Canada. He replaces Edouard Gervais who retired at the end of February having served as IZA’€™s Executive Director since its formation in 1991.
