Stahlwerke Bochum (SWB) has appointed Amsco Wear Products as its exclusive representative in North America in the field of steel and metal fragmentising.
The major shredder hammer producer, which specialises in wear-resistant tools and components for steel and metal fragmentising as well as for the processing of materials, was previously represented in the region by Global Partners Alliance.
After 20 years, Global’s owners are retiring so Amsco took over on 17 November. Amsco was established in 1915, is part of the Lawton Standard family and is based in Wilmington, Delaware.
‘Ideal representative‘
SWB says it new partner is the ideal representative for its shredder wear parts in the North American market. ‘An experienced and now larger sales team, consisting of already well known and new members, guarantees North American shredder operators the usual good advice and optimum supply with SWB wear parts,’ it states in a news release.
It goes on: ‘As a family owned mid-sized company, SWB thinks like the scrap recycling business looking for long term efficiency and partnership. It is SWB’s main focus to develop, produce and deliver wear parts with the best specific wear parts costs in the market.’
Keeping the complete process in house in Germany allows SWB to react to the market at short notice and also offers consulting to support its customers in optimising their processes and reducing shredder downtimes.
‘With its exclusive US-based representation – now Amsco – SWB’s completes its activities in the North American market and guarantees regular face-to-face contact with its North American customers.’
