Mairec opens its doors in the USA

United States – Precious metals recycler MAIREC has invested US$ 4.6 million in its new facility at Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA. The German company expects the site to be fully operational by September this year.

Mairec’s first overseas operation, it will occupy an existing 50 800-square-foot building and is expected to create 35 new jobs over the next five years. The facility is intended to serve the North American and wider global recycling market.

‘Being present in North America and servicing this market is a major milestone for our company,’ says Mairec president Mikhail Khaimov. He describes this as a ‘one-of-a-kind opportunity’ and is confident that Mairec’s technology will be well received in the ‘business-friendly and open environment’ of South Carolina.
