JMC and Vortex Depollution join forces

United Kingdom/United States – Recycling equipment specialists JMC of the UK and Vortex Depollution have reached an agreement that means the former will market and manufacture all of the latter’s car de-pollution technology destined for Europe. According to the new partners, Vortex will ‘continue to operate as a stand-alone business in the USA’.

The Vortex De-pollution System is designed to suit various operating environments – from high-throughput scrap yards and self-pull parts companies to low-volume parts salvage operations processing a couple of cars a day. It includes solutions for: fluid extraction; air-bag deployment; refrigerant gas removal; spares and core part dismantling; wheel ripping and tyre removal; and fuel storage and dispensing.

‘Vortex equipment has proved itself in UK yards and is the perfect complement to our range of added-value products for auto recyclers which includes catalytic converter processors, engine crushers and cable granulators,’ comments JMC’s Managing Director Phillip Pownall, who sees ‘great opportunities’ for the Vortex range via his company’s outlets throughout mainland Europe. As part of the agreement, Vortex USA will develop the American market for JMC’s products, he adds.
