Gold, cash and luxury cars found at Dutch scrap yard

Hundreds of kilos of precious metals, including gold, have been confiscated during a police investigation at a recycling company in the south of the Netherlands.

The police also discovered weapons, ammunition, luxury watches, hundreds of euros in cash and fancy cars, including a Ferrari, a Maserati and a Porsche. The seized items have a total value of EURO 10 million, local media report.

During the investigation, advanced military detection equipment was used to search for hidden spaces.

The metal recycling company is suspected of money laundering.
