Automotive recyclers look to Geneva trip

Vehicle dismantlers and recyclers are preparing for the annual International Automotive Recycling Congress which takes place in Geneva from 21-23 June.

Leading invited speakers include Eric Niedziela from ArcelorMittal, on ‘The big future of recycled steel’, and Jean-Philippe Bahuaud from Renault.

Panel discussions and debates cover the circularity of end-of-life vehicles, challenges facing raw materials, automative recycling in Asia, new opportunities for manufacturers and recyclers and the reality of recycling critical materials such as plastics.

Other speakers include David Holdcroft, director of ELV and automotive recycling at EMR; Emmanuel Katrakis, secretary general of EuRIC; Jaco Huisman, a policy officer on ELVs at the European Commission; Jan Bollen from ArcelorMittal; Scott Newell from Newell Recycling Equipment; Silvia Vecchione from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.

Early bird tickets are available until 30 April.
