Europe – The Association of European Producers of Steel for Packaging (APEAL), which represents nearly 95% of the continent’s steel packaging industry, has appointed Alexander Mohr to the position of secretary general.
Mohr joined APEAL in 2012 as director of external affairs. Previously, he had headed the public affairs practice for the European container glass industry based in Brussels. The steel packaging association has praised Mohr’s credentials, including his active membership of a German political think-tank and his lecturing on international relations at the Sciences Po Institute in Paris.
The new secretary general also holds a law degree from the German University of Tuebingen, APEAL notes.
