ISRI releases nine new plastics specs

United States – The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) has published nine new plastics specifications in its Scrap Specifications Circular, released to coincide with the Plastics Recycling Conference being held this week in the US city of Dallas.

The new specifications cover premium film, A+ grade film, A grade film, B grade film, C grade film, MRF film, grocery film, agricultural greenhouse film and agricultural ground cover film.

′The nine new plastics specs were designed to give definition and clarity in the plastics film market,′ comments ISRI president Robin Wiener. ′As the market for recycled plastics film evolved, ISRI members recognised the need for our specification to reflect their needs and were the driving force behind their adoption.′

The Scrap Specifications Circular provides guidelines for the full range of processed scrap commodities and contains internationally accepted standard specifications that are intended to assist market participants in the buying and selling of their materials and products.
