Metal Blanc’s majority share in Dutch battery recycler

The Netherlands / France РThrough its parent company Financi̬re de Coelho, French lead battery recycling specialist Metal Blanc has acquired a majority interest in Dutch battery sorting company Van Peperzeel BV.
According to the latter, the acquisition supports the company’s strategy to expand its battery sorting company in Europe. The lead battery experience of Metal Blanc will also allow Van Peperzeel to develop its lead battery recycling business. CEO Johan van Peperzeel says the companies are complimentary in their operations, enabling them to cover ‘every step of the lead battery recycling process, and to become even stronger players in this field’€™. Mr Van Peperzeel remains a shareholder in the business and will continue in his role as Managing Director.

The family-owned company, which is the main contractor of the Stibat battery collection system in the Netherlands, recently celebrated its 30th birthday and moved into new premises in Lelystad.
