RRS welcomes new Vice President

United States – US-based Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) has announced the appointment of Anne Johnson as Vice President and Senior Consultant. She will be mainly responsible for leading the development of a new Global Corporate Sustainability practice for the Michigan-headquartered business.

For the past seven years, Ms Johnson led the Sustainable Packaging Coalition at non-profit company GreenBlue of Charlottesville. According to RRS, she has accumulated 15 years of ‘€˜exceptional knowledge’€™ of sustainable design and recovery, as well as of applied life-cycle management methodologies.

Her new role is ‘€˜a natural extension for RRS’€™s collaborative work in greening the supply chain’€™, it says. Clients include the Carton Council of North America and their Carton Recycling Access Initiative.

‘€˜The business world is shifting to where markets are emerging, populations are large and infrastructure to manage waste just doesn’€™t exist,’€™ states Ms Johnson.The Global Corporate Sustainability practice for RSS will cover a full range of sustainability strategies for energy, water, waste and packaging both at the enterprise level and within global supply chains, she adds.
