Poland event shines a light on ‘aggressive’ targets for paper and plastics

Poland – Poland is a ‘fast-growing and dynamic part of the European Union economy’ and has thus been chosen as the location for this year’s Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference Europe, organised by Recycling Today Media Group.

The 2017 edition of the two-day event will be held in at the Hilton Hotel in the country’s capital Warsaw. Paper & Plastics Recycling Conference Europe event. Industry highlights regarding both commodities have been integrated into one cohesive programme rather than multiple parallel sessions.

Trade restrictions in China will certainly be discussed, while other topics include recycling progress in Southeast Asia and India; ‘aggressive’ recycling targets in the European Union; business prospects in Eastern and Central Europe; as well as a look at the ocean-going freight sector in the midst of another year of changes and adjustments.

Speakers include David Powlson (Pöry Management Consulting), Michael McManus (Asia Pulp & Paper and Associated Companies), Marcin Kwiatkoski (Smurfitt Kappa) and Shailesh Gothal (Gemini Corp).

‘Opportunities are present in Eastern Europe, and recyclers will want to gather there,’ comments Jim Keefe, group publisher of the Recycling Today Media Group. He once again expects a varied attendance including recyclers, government officials, mill representatives, brand owners and industry stakeholders from around the world.
