* Marathon Equipment
Gordon Shaw Sr has become President of Marathon Equipment Co. Inc., Vernon, Alabama, U.S., in succession to Ed Furnari who retired last December. Mr Shaw, a 20-year veteran of the recycling and waste equipment industry, began his Marathon Equipment career in sales. He became Vice President of Sales & Marketing and then Executive Vice President prior to his appointment as President.

* Metal Management
Metal Management Inc., Chicago, U.S., has separated the positions of Chairman of the Board and CEO. Daniel Dienst, an independent director of the company since June 2001, has been named Chairman while Albert Cozzi – previously Chairman and CEO – will remain as CEO and assume the position of Vice Chairman. ’This change establishes independence between the Chairman and CEO positions, a strategy that’s important to our company in discharging our responsibilities to our stockholders,’€™ commented Mr Cozzi.

* Palfinger
The Supervisory Board of Palfinger AG, the Austrian manufacturer of truck cranes and hook-loading equipment, has appointed Wolfgang Pilz and Herbert Ortner to the group’€™s management board. The current Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Klaus Schützdeller, has resigned from the board, with his responsibilities passing for the time being to the new management team.
