(CCIC), in a bid to address many of the issues that have arisen with the new shipment procedures mandated by the Chinese government.
ISRI has made efforts to improve the dialogue between ISRI and top officials at AQSIQ and CCIC, both at the global level as well as at their North American operations. The Washington DC-based association has been working with Gaolong Qian, President of CCIC North America, on a number of matters raised by ISRI members, including trying to resolve issues relating to the new contracts for inspection services that CCIC is proposing to implement. In addition, ISRI has been engaged in negotiating the contract terms for self-inspection companies in the hope of making the process fair and equitable for all concerned.
ISRI has also agreed to co-operate with CCIC in presenting training seminars for the new electronic certificate system to be implemented by the latter during the autumn.
