E-scrap recycler Igneo Technologies and IT lifecycle services provider Procurri have entered into a global strategic partnership, combining Igneo’s commodity management solutions and precious metal reclamation expertise with Procurri’s enterprise data centre hardware, global maintenance and lifecycle consulting services. Both companies share a mutual goal to create greener, global data recycling solutions.

With sustainability and technology playing an increasingly critical role in every business, companies recognise that not only must they accelerate the development of green solutions, they also need a reliable partner to help them do so. The Igneo-Procurri partnership brings together ‘deep skills in sustainability practices and solutions to provide cheaper, flexible solutions to end-of-life-recycling,’ the companies say.

With locations and partners around the world, Igneo and Procurri are easily accessible and able to help while supporting customers through the successful transformation of ‘going green’.

‘The Igneo-Procurri partnership is a powerful combination,’ says Igneo Technologies’ cco Brian Diesselhorst. ‘Procurri’s industry knowledge and collaborative approach is uniquely complementary to the Igneo team. We believe this will help to generate industry leading solutions.’ With 20 global offices, eight distribution centres, 101 countries covered and the added capabilities of more than 500 Procurri employees globally, Diesselhorst believes the partnership ‘will allow us to drive far more business impact’.

Sustainability is the number one priority at Procurri with one of their recent achievements being named a ‘carbon neutral organisation’. The company aims to extend the lifecycle of IT assets and keep them out of landfills. Having collated their global facility’s carbon data over the past two years, Procurri has achieved an independently certified CO2 assessed status and subsequently offset their emissions through recognised ‘certified programmes’, the efforts resulting in Procurri achieving carbon neutral status for its global operations spanning four continents.

Procurri is a global leader in IT lifecycle services, prioritising responsible IT asset disposition and recycling to promote environmental sustainability. Procurri’s standards ensure eco-friendly management of end-of-life or surplus IT equipment, reducing pollution, and preserving resources. It also specialises in different areas focusing on data security, utilising advanced techniques for secure information erasure.

By partnering with Procurri, businesses can meet regulations, contribute to sustainability, and achieve responsible e-waste disposal. With their expertise and reliable solutions, organisations can optimise IT lifecycle processes and embrace a greener future.

‘We searched for a partner that had a global footprint, the ability to quickly scale, and who shares our core ESG values surrounding the environment and our commitment as an organisation to help make the world a better place,’ comments Evrim Eravci, global president, lifecycle services at Procurri. ‘Igneo and their parent company Korea Zinc share similar core values to Procurri. They are driven by providing solutions built around environmental stewardship, sustainability, and supporting the circular economy.’

Meanwhile Igneo’s subsidiary, evTerra Recycling, provides further assistance with the opening of its fourth location on the horizon. evTerra, vertically integrated with Igneo and Korea Zinc, has just completed construction of an state-of-the-art shredding and sortation system and is currently receiving material at its new San Antonio location. evTerra’s new US hub is currently awaiting RIOS, R2v3, e-Stewards, and NAID certifications in Q3, 2023.;
