Bulk Handling Systems snaps up National Recovery Technologies

United States – Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) has acquired fellow US company National Recovery Technologies (NRT) – known as a global authority on optical sorting equipment and materials processing.

BHS specialises in the design, engineering, manufacturing and installation of sorting systems and components for the solid waste, recycling, waste-to-energy, and construction and demolition industries.

Its CEO Steve Miller says NRT ‘€˜was founded by some of the brightest scientific minds in the industry’€™ and has been run according to ‘€˜values based on technology innovation, quality of manufacturing and a strong commitment to customer support – values that BHS has as well’€™.

NRT produces high-end optical technology and holds exclusive rights to 29 US patents and five foreign patents, ranging from near-infrared and X-ray to laser and line camera sorting systems. Mr Miller expects the deal to ‘€˜strengthen BHS’€™ position as a global leader in providing the most state-of-the-art and durable material recovery systems in the industry’€™.
