Ecomondo 2026 is set to strengthen its position as a leading international recycling and circular economy platform.

Bringing together industry, institutions, researchers and policymakers at the Rimini Expo Centre on 3-6 November, Ecomondo will showcase a more global, innovation-driven and cross-sector approach to ecological transition.

‘As Europe advances new policies aimed at transforming production systems and resource management, the event will provide a strategic meeting point for businesses seeking partnerships, investment opportunities and solutions for sustainable growth,’ says the Italian Exhibition Group.

Ecomondo is expanding its international presence through a growing network of buyers, delegations and industry associations from across the world, supported by the Italian ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation, and Italy’s trade agency.

World tour

A dedicated roadshow will visit Spain, Morocco, Germany, Hungary and Canada, strengthening commercial and institutional connections. The event’s international platform also includes Ecomondo Mexico, Ecomondo China and the Green Med Expo & Symposium.

Global view, presentations in English

The 2026 conference programme will feature more sessions in English and increased participation from international organisations, including the European Commission, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

There will also be presentations on AI, circular cities, bioeconomy, bioenergy and stronger cooperation with Mediterranean and African markets.

Key discussions will address emerging European regulations, including the Circular Economy Act, the Critical Raw Materials Act and new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) measures.

Spotlight on textiles

A major innovation at Ecomondo 2026 will be a dedicated textile area occupying an entire exhibition hall. It will bring together the textile value chain as sustainability regulations are reshaping the industry.
