UNTHA to promote latest shredder at RWM show

United Kingdom – Major recycling equipment manufacturer UNTHA will showcase its latest piece of shredder technology at the upcoming RWM trade show in the UK’s second city of Birmingham. The new XR waste shredder for refuse-derived fuel and alternative fuel production made its global debut in May at the IFAT exhibition in Munich.

The first shredder designed and manufactured in UNTHA′s new innovation centre at Kuchl in Austria, ′the XR breaks the conventional shredding mould′, claims the company. ′Thanks to the UNTHA Eco Drive technology, energy consumption is reduced by up to 50%.′

Achieving throughputs of up to 70 tonnes per hour, the XR has two distinct cutting concepts that can be configured and reconfigured as clients′ requirements evolve, says UNTHA. ′It is able to achieve a precision shred, with homogeneous particles as small as 50mm, in a single pass,′ the firm adds.

Having explored the new technology for themselves, visitors to UNTHA′s booth at the RWM show will be able to download the new XR shredding app to view the machine in 3D.

RWM 2014 takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on September 16-18.
