Battery Solutions adds development role

United States – US recycler Battery Solutions has welcomed Shane Thompson in the newly created position of vice president of corporate development. He will be responsible for the integration of Battery Solutions’ new technologies, while driving sales growth and new customer acquisition.

Thompson will report directly to Battery Solutions′ ceo Thomas Bjarnemark, who says he will become an ′integral member′ of the management team thanks to his experience of rare earth metal sales and market development, industry trade group knowledge and perspective.

Thompson previously ran his own consultancy and helped found RediMet, a metals recycling and mineral sales company. He previously spent several years at battery collection scheme Call2Recycle.
