Finland – The Mantsinen Group, the Finnish manufacturer of material handlers, has announced the identity of its new ceo: on July 1 this year, Martti Toivanen will retire and Mia Mantsinen will take over in the role.
In a career already spanning more than a decade, Mia Mantsinen has been company cfo, followed by sales and marketing director and most recently vice president of its material handling machinery division. ‘I have experienced a lot – and learned even more,’ she comments.
‘It is a great honour and a great responsibility to become ceo of our family company. Mantsinen already has a history of 50 years, during which we have continually improved the logistical efficiency of our clients.’
Departing ceo Martti Toivanen will leave a company that has witnessed a major expansion of its operations over recent years. ‘The time has come to take time for myself and my family,’ he says.
‘It is a joy to leave Mantsinen in good shape for Mia. I am also glad we found a new ceo from within our family company in order to continue our work for the good of our clients and the company.’
Mia Mantsinen’s position as vice president of the material handling machinery division will be taken by Tapio Pirinen, who is currently area sales director for the same unit.
