Germany – Visitors to the IFAT 2016 trade show in Munich will have the opportunity to see in action what is claimed to be ‘the world’s first electrically-driven mobile shredder’.
The XR mobil-e, designed and manufactured by Untha of Austria, is claimed to be ‘the first machine of its kind’ to shred with a low-power electric drive. Owing to its on-board auxiliary power pack, it can be moved easily around a production facility. The XR mobil-e delivers ‘high throughputs, low operating costs, energy efficiency, low noise, foreign object protection and ease of maintenance’, according to Untha.
The mobile shredder has already been ‘extensively’ tested across Europe in order to prove its flexibility in shredding several kinds of material, including construction and demolition waste. An XR mobil-e will be on display at Untha’s open air site (12C, stand 9) in Munich.
In addition, a free shuttle service will transport IFAT attendees from the Messe München trade show base to a nearby operational site several times a day where Untha XR shredding technology will be in action.
IFAT 2016 will be held on May 30 to June 3 at Messe München.
