United States – Hammermill shredder manufacturer ZB of Spain has opened an office near Atlanta in the US state of Georgia in order to serve the North American market.
‘Atlanta is not far from the sea ports of Savannah, making it efficient for supply of machines and spare parts warehousing,’ notes Lander Arrieta, ZB’s director for North America. It was in 2015 that the company took its first steps to open a subsidiary in the USA but ‘more time than expected’ was required for Arrieta to obtain his visa.
ZB North America will be providing a servicing and spare parts resource for customers across the USA and Canada. The new service centre has the capacity to store ‘a full range’ of spare parts, stresses Arrieta.
The company’s mobile ferrous/non-ferrous shredder – ‘Thor’ – was displayed at last week’s popular IFAT trade show in Munich. Stay tuned for more news about the major recycling event!
