India – General Kinematics (GK), the US-based manufacturer of custom-engineered vibratory process equipment for the recycling industry and others, has opened a new office in the Indian city of Bangalore. ‘€˜This new company space provides the firm with increased ability to meet the needs, at all levels, of customers in the region,’€™ it states.

General Kinematics Corporation has had a presence in India since 2008 with its liaison office in New Delhi. But with the growth of its business and customer base in the region, it has decided to incorporate a private limited company in Bangalore.

‘In these eight years,’ comments Ajay Chougule, managing director of General Kinematics India, ‘GK has provided equipment to many new customers in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, and with this there was need to have spare parts available locally in India to reduce lead time. The newly-formed company will primarily cater to customers in the subcontinent by supplying spare parts, automation and service support.’

General Kinematics’ vibratory separation equipment includes the Finger-Screen and the De-Stoner Air Classifier for low-energy sorting and separation of recyclables. The company also designs complete recycling systems for material recovery.
