The next generation of plastic compounding technology

Austria – Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen and Leistritz Extrusionstechnik have joined forces to market pioneering lines of recycling compounding technology for plastics.

The new product lines will be named A:COMP, S:COMP, X:COMP and F:COMP. Advanced twin-screw extruder technology from Leistritz allows the melt to be refined to produce pellets at optimum cost. Additives, fillers and reinforcing compounds are added to the melt to determine the property profile, the companies claim, allowing the materials to be customised for virtually any application.

‘The new lines are important building blocks on the road to becoming a full-range recycling provider,’ commented Josef Hochreiter, ceo of Austrian manufacturer NGR. Many previous projects with Leistritz made this partnership ‘a logical step’, he added.

Sven Wolf, ceo of Germany company Leistritz, was confident that the new solutions would prove a success, commenting: ‘Our twin-screw extruder technology and our know-how in the compounder field is ideal for 24/7 use in the recycling sector.’
