New look for Oxford’s X-MET7500 scrap analyser

United Kingdom – The X-MET7500 Scrap Metal Analyser from UK-based Oxford Instruments is a widely used hand-held X-ray fluorescence (XRF) device which measures in a few seconds the key elements in a range of metal alloys including stainless, tool and low alloy steels, nickel, titanium, copper, cobalt and aluminium alloys.

The new X-MET7500 Scrap Metal Analyser forms part of the X-MET7000 Series which, the developer says, offers an improved, intuitive and easy-to-read graphical user interface. Its bright and high contrast 4.3-inch Blanview transmissive LCD touch-screen is designed to ensure optimal outdoor viewing even in direct sunlight.
Up to 10-12 hours’€™ battery life enables operation for a full working day on a single battery charge. The hand-held XRF analysers come with a new enhanced data download reporting flexibility. The results screen and reports can be easily customised – for example, to show only pass/fail messages.
