A new vehicle recycling feature is to
be added to this year’s IFAT show: in
a dedicated open-air space, the
organisers will stage various practical
demonstrations on how to dismantle
vehicles, drain the liquids from them,
remove hazardous substances and
crush them in compliance with the
EU’s end-of-life vehicle regulations.
The display is being organised by
new IFAT partner BDSV, the Ger-
man steel recycling association. The
BDSV will have its own booth at the
show for the first time; this will be a
gathering place for the sector and
also a source of information on cur-
rent themes within the industry.
The IFAT show covers water, sewage,
waste and raw materials manage-
ment. The event is expected to
accommodate some 3000 exhibitors
on around 230 000 m2 of exhibition
floor space.
