Sorting systems major alive to Gulf region’s potential

Global – TOMRA Sorting is counting down to the Arabplast 2017 trade show taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on January 8-10.

Arabplast is the Gulf region’s foremost trade show for the plastics, petrochemical and rubber industries, and TOMRA Sorting will be showcasing a range of top-selling sorting applications with a focus on upgrading plastics. ‘Having been a presence in the region for over five years now, TOMRA Sorting has a clear understanding of the status quo of plastics recycling in the local market and thus is very conscious of the inherent business opportunities,’ comments Tasos Bereketidis, the company’s regional director for the Middle East & Africa.

In Hall 5 (Stand 5C112) in Dubai, TOMRA Sorting will put the emphasis on the sorting of PET, LDPE film, PET flake and mixed plastics. Visitors will be able to learn about two acclaimed sorting machines from the TOMRA Sorting product family: the ultra-flexible AUTOSORT which combines colour detection with enhanced material information; and the AUTOSORT FLAKE, said to be the first sorter to combine detection of colour, enhanced material information and metal.
