Germany – Developed countries are shifting more and more toward plastic packaging, which poses a challenge for the paper industry. Also, the amount of paper used for recycling in Europe fell by 0.3% in 2016 compared to 2015, according to the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI). Its members utilised an estimated 43.2 million tonnes.
Such important themes will be the heart of the 20th international annual recovered paper conference, organised by the German bvse association. The event will take place on 23 March at the Maritim Hotel, conveniently located at Düsseldorf Airport.
Further topics to be discussed include the future prospects of waste paper producers; difficulties and solutions regarding the quality of recovered paper; as well as new market developments and strategies impacting the companies in the paper sector. Best practice stories and trade updates will be provided by recyclers, government officials, technology experts, researchers and other market figures.
Some 500 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend, offering an interesting networking opportunity for all those involved in the recovered paper value chain. Once again, the bvse dinner will conclude the event to further boost new business contacts.
