United Kingdom – The potential impact of new and proposed rules and regulations, as well as the challenging question of fibre supply, will be two of the topics to feature strongly on the agenda at the Paper Recycling Conference Europe scheduled for the Park Plaza Victoria London Hotel on November 6-7.
Hosted by the Recycling Today Media Group and Smithers Pira, the two-day event will investigate: how some traditional sources of recovered fibre are dwindling and how others may provide new opportunities; and laws and government agency rules that are having – or are poised to have – a significant bearing on the recovered paper industry, to include a timely update on customs and inspection issues in China and elsewhere.
The conference will also incorporate presentations highlighting new developments in recovered paper sorting and recycling technologies, and for the first time a session designed to assist fibre industry professionals who are diversifying into plastics. The latter will feature an examination of market dynamics for recycling post-consumer and post-industrial plastics.
