KOM to enhance recovered paper recycling

Arabia – Oman-based Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) has unveiled a new initiative to improve recovered paper collection and recycling, to be known as ‘KOM in Green’.

Mohammed bin Hamad Al Maskari, KOM’s Director General, is quoted as telling the Times News Service: ‘As the Sultanate’s flagship technology park, we recognise our responsibility to create a greener park and grow our eco-friendly initiatives in order to eliminate environmental hazards.’

He added: ‘This is only a start-up campaign on waste collection. We are mainly concentrating on the two colleges based in KOM. The students involved in the initiative are impressively co-operative as they have taken the initiative to the high level’.
