Alcoa finalises Evermore deal

United States – Alcoa has announced that it has taken sole control of Evermore Recycling, which becomes part of its Global Packaging group. The US-owned aluminium producer said the deal would secure a stronger position in the scrap market.

The used beverage can recycler, formerly jointly owned by Alcoa and Novelis, will remain headquartered in Nashville.

Describing the move as a ‘€˜new chapter’€™, Alcoa President of Global Packaging Andrey Donets said: ‘€˜We are very pleased to have Alcoa’€™s Evermore Recycling as a wholly-owned part of our business as they are known throughout the world for their strong and committed relationships across the recycling supply chain.’€™
