The winners of the annual Steelie Awards have been announced by the World Steel Association (worldsteel).
The awards, the 15th edition, recognise member companies for their contribution to the steel industry over the previous year in a series of categories impacting the industry, including low-carbon steel production and wider sustainability.
Low-carbon category
The winner of the ‘Excellence in low-carbon steel production’ category went to China Baowu Steel Group for its HyCrof commercial demonstration project.
‘Excellence in sustainability’ went to Posco Holdings for its odour control consulting programme for supply chain partners.
