United States – Sims Recycling Solutions, the electronics recycling division of Sims Metal Management, has acquired one of the US leading electronics players, E-Structors Inc, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2003, E-Structors serves sectors such as education and health care. It processes around 2000 tonnes of material per year in its 15 000 square metre facility allows, which has helped it to become the largest e-waste recycling company in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.
‘Having a location near Washington will allow us not only to build on the great partnerships we have with federal agencies but to service our existing government agreements more efficiently, including our five-year Department of Defense contract,’ stated Steve Skurnac, President of Sims Recycling Solutions Americas.
