New e-cycling network unveiled in the USA

United States – ‘The largest national network of social enterprise certified electronics recyclers’ has been launched in the USA, known as Impact Recyclers. Operations are spread across California, Colorado, Indiana, Georgia, Minnesota and New York.

Partners in Impact Recyclers take care of collection, sorting, recycling, refurbishing and data destruction while hiring ‘people who are willing and able to work, but who have the hardest time getting a job’, including people on the autism spectrum, with physical disabilities or who have been in the justice system.

The network’s seven co-founding companies are Blue Star Recyclers, Isidore Recycling, Merit ePartners, RecycleForce, Stanley eWaste, Tech Dump and ReWorx. Together, they recycled 25 million pounds of electronics in 2014 and have over 40 years’ experience in the sector. All the businesses are R2 or eStewards certified.

‘The network model provides clients a centralised point of contact, improved efficiency and a significant social impact to help customers meet and exceed their corporate social responsibility goals,’ comments ReWorx ceo Mike Daniels.
