Austria – Worldwide, e-scrap generation is expected to reach more than 50 million tonnes in 2018 with an annual growth of 5% per year. This and other major trends increasingly challenging electronics recyclers and producers will be highlighted at next year’€™s International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC), which is scheduled to be held on January 16-19 in Salzburg, Austria.

Swiss congress organiser ICM has issued a call for papers for this event.

Individuals and/or companies that are interested in making a presentation are requested to submit their proposals before July 25, 2017 to [email protected].

IERC 2018 will bring together over 500 international producers, recyclers, equipment manufacturers, recycling associations, refurbishers, NGOs, regulators and many more. The congress aims to address many topics of interest to the e-scrap industry, such as: the circular economy, complex materials, worldwide take-back schemes, reuse & refurbishment and data security.

There will be a spacious exhibition hall with over 60 booths offering delegates the chance to network.
