Car recycling scene counts down for IARC 2021

Jean-Philipe Hermine, vice-president environmental strategy at car manufacturer Renault will be among the keynote speakers at the upcoming International Automotive Recycling Congress (IARC) in Geneva, Switzerland on 23-25 June. Renault claims a pioneering role in end-of-life vehicle (ELV) and car battery recycling and Hermine will share that story.

At IARC 2021, recyclers and tech providers will showcase their latest solutions and innovations to meet accelerating market and environmental objectives.
This is a critical year for the global car recycling industry with new legislation being implemented with wide-reaching consequences for the entire value chain. Delegates will debate with the European Commission on the impact of the revised EU ELV Directive on the mobility sector, the recycling industry, and producer responsibility organisations.

The 20th anniversary conference will be held both on site and virtually. The event will have two additional virtual channels streaming live which will also be available on demand after the conference. 150 delegates have already been registered.
Event organiser ICM says slots are still available for companies wishing to submit a virtual presentation.
