Global – German recycling plant engineering specialist Vecoplan has reorganised its business unit covering the development of systems for processing alternative fuels in order to better serve this growing market.
In 2011, Vecoplan and ThyssenKrupp Polysius founded the Vecoplan FuelTrack joint venture which combined the former’s processing technologies know-how with the latter’s expertise in cement plant engineering. Three years later, the partners have been reorganised strategically and structurally such that, henceforth, they will handle the alternative fuels market in separate business units and will focus on their core competences.
‘Vecoplan, as an international leader for shredding, conveying, storing and treating waste and secondary raw materials, still offers its specialised know-how,’ the company stresses.
ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions represents the merger of plant specialist ThyssenKrupp Polysius, ThyssenKrupp Material Handling and ThyssenKrupp Uhde. As a specialist in turnkey cement plants, the ‘Cement’ operating unit – formerly Polysius – offers expertise in the combustion of residual and secondary raw materials.
