Netherlands / France – Waste management specialist Van Gansewinkel is expanding its business in Northern France, with the Dutch group’s local subsidiary taking over Delrosso of Erre, near Valenciennes.
The latter processes some 10 000 tonnes per annum, targeting mainly paper and cardboard, but also glass, industrial waste, wood and hazardous waste.
Van Gansewinkel France already handles some 100 000 tonnes at three facilities – in Bois Grenier, Armentieres and Bethune – and employs 70 people. As a result of this latest deal, its turnover will increase from Euro 9 million in 2010 to an estimated Euro 12 million in 2011. Further organic growth and acquisitions should boost this figure to Euro 50 million by 2015, the company says.
Van Gansewinkel France is also upgrading the port access for its Bethune facility. Some Euro 2 million will be invested in redeveloping the site.
