UK-based Master Magnets has supplied one of Chinas leading steel recyclers with an eddy current separator for more efficient recycling of finer scrap materials. Ghangzhou Asia Steel Ltd (GASL), which is based in the Whampoa region of China, had already bought a Master Mag Overband and Drum Magnet from the same UK manufacturer.
The new plant is now fully operational and GASL reports improved capabilities with regard to the sorting of fines. The company now recycles and reclaims an increased quantity of valuable materials at a rate of 10 tonnes per hour, sorting metal fines into ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic fractions.
The eddy current separator plant consists of a separator unit, a drum separator, a vibratory feeder, a control panel and a set of guards.
