TEREX Pegson has launched its X400 series crushing plant which has been designed for primary crushing and which is available in both hydraulic adjust and hydraulic release versions. According to the manufacturer, their features make them suitable for a number of recycling applications.
The culmination of detailed research and extensive field trials, this track-mounted jaw crusher unit is intended to replace the 1100 x 650 Premiertrak which, claims TEREX Pegson, is the world’s best-selling tracked crusher. The new plant has been designed to provide: ’unrivalled’€™ under-engine access with hydraulically tilting product conveyor; very low running costs due to a highly efficient direct drive system; a hydraulic overload protection system on the XR400 version; and easy operation and maximum productivity.
The XA400 has a highly aggressive crushing action with hydraulic crusher setting adjustment. The high-swing jaw eases material entry into the crushing chamber, while the hydraulic adjustment has been developed to enable crusher setting changes to be made quickly and easily over a wide range.
The XR400 with hydraulic release has been specifically designed to alleviate those problems with crusher overload which can be encountered when tramp metals enter the crushing process – particularly prevalent in the recycling of construction and demolition waste. The hydraulic release feature is fully adjustable, quick and easy to reset and simplifies the clearance of blockages, according to the manufacturer.
Options on the X400 series include a dirt conveyor with a new troughing system, overband magnet, radio remote control and under-feeder screen. Currently being launched into the wider European market, the X400 will be available in all other markets later this year.
